When girls start their periods, they can no longer attend school regularly, so they give up, drop out, and get married

Christian girls become a burden to their families, because they are too poor to buy pads

Muslim girls are taken out of school by their parents and married off no matter what their economic situation is

If they are allowed to stay in school but don't have access to sanitary products, they are humiliated when they get blood on their skirts, and are too embarrassed to go back.

having children while they are still children themselves strands them in poverty.
